Robert Goldberg, DO, is a member of the Council on Medical Education at the American Medical Association.

He is a physiatrist serving on the faculty of the Institute for Family Health of the Icahn Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He holds an appointment as clinical attending physician. He also currently holds appointments as clinical professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Goldberg has contributed broadly to the science and practice of medicine with particular attention to the care and treatment of the injured person. Appointed by Governors Andrew M. Cuomo, David Paterson and Eliot Spitzer, he served on the Medical Advisory Board to the New York State Insurance and the Workers Compensation Boards to create medical treatment guidelines and was contributor to the 2017 NYS Guides to Permanent Impairment. As president of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) he worked to address challenges facing physicians on the local and national levels. He has served as chair of the MSSNY Delegation to the AMA. He served and chaired committees for the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
